Only 5 days to go before I strut my stuff at CIEP Conference 2026!
The excitement is building, and I’m anticipating a busy and absorbing couple of days on 11 and 12 September at this year’s conference, under the theme ‘More than words: The evolving role of the editorial professional’.
My own session, ‘Insights from medical communications: Teamwork, negotiation and asserting editorial authority’, is first off the blocks on Saturday morning. I’m aiming to share my experience of working in med comms, and how it has shaped my approach to professional challenges. But we won’t be taking it too seriously – we’ll have some rueful chuckles along the way to making those insights, and I hope that people will walk away with at least one useful thing to apply to their own professional lives.
If you’re planning to turn up in Birmingham then maybe I’ll catch you there – I’ll be the one at the lectern looking flustered and saying “Am I in the right room?”.
