Only 23 days to go before I stand and deliver at CIEP Conference 2026!
This year’s conference theme is ‘More than words: The evolving role of the editorial professional’, and my session ‘Insights from medical communications: Teamwork, negotiation and asserting editorial authority’ is going to take a dive through what my experience of working in the med comms industry has taught me.
The initial dread has been replaced by a sort of fluttery anticipation – I’m going to embrace the attention, instead of freezing like a deer caught in headlights. Or at least try to …
Most of all, I’m really looking forward to making new friends and connections, finding out how other people work, and bouncing ideas and opinions around with like-minded individuals from all walks of the profession.
If you’re booked already – see you in Birmingham! If you haven’t booked yet, then get online and book your place by Friday 28 August (https://www.ciep.uk/events/ciep-conference-2026.html).
Where else can you watch a slightly scatterbrained woman of a certain age talk nonsense for an hour (apart from my local pub)?
